Richard Jenkins

Richard brings over 40 years of financial industry experience to CFO Simplified, with a career spanning public accounting, Wall Street investment banking, wealth management, and executive leadership. He has held senior roles at organizations including PwC, Merrill Lynch, and UBS, as well as founding and leading several of his own financial services firms.

A practicing CPA, Richard has helped companies achieve their financial goals through tax strategy, business consulting, and accounting and audit services. More recently, his work has focused on litigation support (including expert witness services), business strategy, and consulting CFO engagements across a wide range of industries. He is known for his ability to solve complex problems in challenging situations by taking a holistic, business-first approach to financial leadership.

Richard has deep expertise in finance and technology, including the design and implementation of ERP systems and risk assessment platforms. Over the past several years, he has also developed advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence, leveraging AI-driven tools to create cost-effective solutions, improve decision-making, and enhance profitability for his clients.

Earlier in his career, Richard spent 18 years with Wall Street investment banks, including serving as a Director at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, where he led initiatives in business strategy, product profitability, acquisitions, and firm-wide transformation. He later founded a diversified investment business, serving as COO/CFO and ultimately Chairman and CEO.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. He has been a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and has held Series 7 and 66 licenses. Outside of work, Richard is the father of four and grandfather to seven. He enjoys golf, cooking and dining, and reading about health, history, and science.
